Amruta Patil

India's first female graphic novelist, she is the author of the queer autofiction Kari, Mahabharat-based Parva Duology (Adi Parva, Sauptik) and Aranyaka, which sits on the cusp of philosophy and eco-feminism. Her books have been translated into French and Italian. Patil is a writer and painter who received the Nari Shakti award from the President of India in 2017. She has taught at universities and spoken at literary events in various countries. Patil has a longstanding association with Angoulême - France's “city of comics” - and currently leads Qanvas' creative atelier in Goa, India.

Payal Puri

Editor, writer and co-creator of flagship thought-leadership platforms, Payal's media career spans television, magazines, digital, live events, and podcasts. As a live-events moderator and curator, she has hosted over 75 dialogues with global stalwarts across disciplines. She has been the Editor of Cosmopolitan magazine in India;
co-founder of the multi-city Algebra, the Arts and Ideas Club; and is creator of Mutant, Dialogues at the End of Democracy, a podcast series in partnership with the Bay Area think-tank Institute for New Global Politics.
